That’s why we recently welcomed Chad and Jeff from Regal Boats to our Sea Bright, NJ location for a full-day, hands-on training with our brokers and service staff—centered around the brand-new Regal 43 SAV, now in stock and ready for showings.

This wasn’t just any walkthrough. It was a deep technical dive—everything from power systems and joystick operation to luxury features and Garmin integration—designed to ensure our team can walk every client through this boat like it’s their own.

Built for Performance and Comfort

Chad opened the training by reviewing the engine and propulsion options, highlighting our current 43 SAV equipped with twin Mercury 7.6L V12 600 Verados. This configuration gives the boat a top speed of just over 50 mph and a comfortable cruise in the low-to-mid 30s. Customers also have the option of triple Yamaha 450s, offering slightly more top-end speed but less flexibility at the stern. Chad pointed out that the Mercury’s steerable lower units allow for a squared-off swim platform, offering more usable space for families and anglers alike.

Generator & Power Management: Built Around Your Lifestyle

The training got technical—in the best way.

Jeff broke down the three major generator/power configurations available:

• Fischer Panda 12kW Diesel Generator
• PowerBank 48V Lithium System
• LivePower (PowerBank + 5kW Generator combo)

Each configuration is designed to match how a customer actually uses their boat. For example, someone who’s dayboating and only needs air conditioning and systems for a few hours may find the lithium-only PowerBank ideal. For longer trips or overnight stays, a full diesel generator setup ensures reliable AC, cooking, and stabilization—even away from shore power.

The 43 SAV supports a multi-voltage electrical system (48V, 24V, and 12V) through Mac Plus converters, which smartly route power where it’s needed and provide seamless transitions from shore power to inverter to generator. There’s even an automatic transfer box—so when you unplug from shore power, the generator kicks in automatically, without needing to flip switches manually.

Digital Switching & Garmin Integration

One of the biggest upgrades from the 38 SAV is the digital switching suite, fully integrated with the dual Garmin screens at the helm. With a few taps, users can:

• Control lighting, pumps, sound systems, and electronics
• View battery charge and system diagnostics in real time
• Overlay radar and chartplotter data
• Create and save custom navigation routes
• Use auto-guidance on Yamaha systems or “go-to” routing with Mercury

The training walked through setting up SeaKeeper stabilization (which spools up in 20–30 minutes), digital anchor windlass safety features, and even the electric drop-down doors and deck extensions—all controllable from the Garmin interface.

Joystick Docking & Thruster Control

Mercury joystick integration was another key focus. Chad and Jeff demonstrated:

• How to activate and use the oversized bow thruster with precision
• Holding position against current or wind using the joystick’s “hold” mode
• How joystick inputs create a more predictable stop compared to Yamaha

These are the kinds of real-world docking scenarios that truly show the difference between boat models—and why SHYS invests in training that prepares us to guide clients with confidence.

Layout, Liveability & Entertaining

The Regal 43 SAV makes no compromises between luxury and functionality. Chad pointed out several upgrades that will matter to any owner:

• Convertible seating and fold-down bar surfaces for entertaining
• Magnetic rod storage tables with high-gloss teak finishes
• Dual grills with non-stick surfaces and smokeless cooking setup
• Ice box with freezer plates and dual fridge configuration that can reach freezing temps
• Convertible berth system that turns twin beds into a king-sized bed
• Oversized, separate shower and head with rain-style showerhead and natural light
