2006 Shamrock Mackinaw 270

Lucky Me

This 2006 Shamrock 270 Mackinaw is a 31-foot (LOA) inboard-powered pilothouse cruiser designed for rugged, all-weather fishing and light cruising. Known for its stable, fuel-efficient modified-V hull designed with a prop pocket (or tunnel) to minimize draft and shaft angle, it features a large, open cockpit and an enclosed pilot cabin. It is a durable choice for anglers seeking protection from the changeable elements of the Monterey and San Francisco Bays, as well as colder, more northern climates.

As Shamrock Marine is no longer in production, these vessels are considered a highly sought-after, niche vessel, often described as being in a class of its own for its size range.

This 2006 Shamrock 270 Mackinaw is a 31-foot (LOA) inboard-powered pilothouse cruiser designed for rugged, all-weather fishing and light cruising. Featuring a modified-V hull designed with a prop pocket (or tunnel) to minimize draft and shaft angle, this design offers a stable, efficient, and rugged inboard ride with a shallower draft and features a large, open cockpit and an enclosed pilot cabin. It is a durable choice for anglers seeking protection from the changeable elements of the Monterey and San Francisco Bays, as well as colder, more northern climates.

Key Features and Design:

  • Length: 31' (LOA); actual hull length is ~ 28' 10", but overall length is 31', including the bow pulpit.

  • Galley: A small galley area with stove, microwave, refrigerator (new in 2023), fresh water sink; dinette with removable table.
  • Berth: Forward V-berth (sleeps 2 adults).
  • Head: Enclosed, compact head (limited sitting headroom).
  • Fishing Cockpit: Includes a transom door, trolling valve, Canon downrigger mounts (2); rod holders and livewell; in-deck storage/fish boxes, bait tank, fish hold. Aft-facing bench seating lends ample room for fishing.
  • Electronics: Raymarine SmartPilot autopilot; West Marine radio VHF 585; Radar/GPS Garmin GPS Map 7612 XSV.
  • Electrical: Main battery and house battery; 110V shore power.
  • Versatility: Suitable for fishing and overnight trips.
