Sandy Hook Yachts is proud to partner with a manufacturer such as Marex and be on the forefront of evolving the mid range cruiser market by bringing an elevated product that boaters in the United States will see immediate value in.

The History

Founded in Norway in 1973, Marex was once known as a small family boat builder but grew rapidly. They gained the reputation as one of the safest and efficient designs in the country with 42 boats sold at one boat show! At the time, Norwegians were regarded as the best boat builders in Europe. Marex took that DNA and the result is a “modern and innovative range that includes all-weather cruisers from 31 to 44 feet,designed to be stylish, efficient, and impeccable seakeeping” – Marex. This luxury line of innovative cruisers is now built by a team of over 400 extremely skilled craftsmen in a state of the art 28,000 Square Meter facility.

Meet the Line Up!

Marex is constantly improving and innovating their models. Sandy Hook Yachts is very happy with how our feedback is being received by the manufacturer on how to tailor options and packages to really maximize what boaters in the United States, particularly on the east coast, are looking for. As it stands currently, Marex has these models in production:

310 Sun Cruiser
The Marex 310 Sun Cruiser was built to deliver the perfect combination of day boat and long range cruiser. With unique features like the double sunroof options and the innovative aft canvas track application, you can have an open airy day boat or close it up and spend the night on board. You will notice top-of-the-line fit and finish that European boat builders are famous for as well as ergonomics and space efficiency. You will forget you are on a 31ft boat! 

330 Scandinavia
Coined “The Legendary Scandinavian Family Boat”, The 330 Scandinavia is a great example of European cruiser. It has a focus on performance in big seas and range, while also having the interior space be the star of the show. Marex has called it their “Most innovative boat to date, full of pleasant surprises and smart solutions that guarantees an extraordinary experience on the water.”

The 330 boasts many “big boat features” of cruisers twice its size.  Outdoor social settings are plentiful with an extended swim platform and a spacious cockpit. The cockpit is separated from the interior by a sliding glass door to keep your salon and staterooms climate controlled. The 330 also has a pilot door for the skipper to gain immediate access to the exterior of the boat without walking through guests.

360 Cabriolet Cruiser
The 360 CC is one of the most multidimensional and flexible cruisers in the line up! You can have a fully open day boat up top with an ergonomically placed galley that allows everyone forward and aft to be included in the party. Forward of the galley, you find the helm with a walkthrough windshield for easy and safe access to the bow. 

One of the obvious selling points of the 360 CC is the spacious and comfortable cockpit with seating up to 10 for dinner or a cocktail party. If any unexpected weather comes your way, close the cockpit up using just one hand with the innovative and intuitive aft cockpit canopy system. When it’s time for overnights, it turns the cockpit into two more berths!  Aft of the cockpit you have the extended swim platform. This adds an extra social space in and out of the water and acts as tender storage with Marex’s integrated Davit system.

375 Marex
The Marex 375 is a true European cruiser with two large dining areas, a well appointed galley and sleeping up to 6 comfortably. The 375 has market leading storage for its class with a mooring locker option for the aft swim platform. In this locker, you can store lines, fenders, family beach gear or have it be a deep seated bench to enjoy amazing views off the back of the boat.

440 Gourmet Cruiser
The 440 brings a modern take on cruisers with lines and aesthetics that will impress while incorporating practical solutions to the compromises of boating. The focus on this boat, besides being incredibly comfortable and seaworthy, is efficiency of space. You have a double sized aft galley and bar for amazing views while entertaining. Connecting the salon and cockpit for flow of entertainment while also being able to have a sliding glass door and drop down window is very rare on a 44ft platform. 

You can move around the boat without disturbing your guests using the dual side doors to make your way forward and aft, keeping your company soaking up the social spaces. As you are making voyages in your 440 GC, you can have your companion and co-pilot right next to you with plenty of space. A foldable table with integrated sockets also creates a handy office area with views of your travels.

Down below you have the option for a two stateroom or three stateroom layout with up to 6 berths.

440 Scandinavia
The latest version of the Flagship from Marex has the same option for a two or three stateroom layout, however it focuses more on social spaces in the salon and cockpit. The 440 Scandinavia offers two separate dining areas along with a “smart seat”, which converts your traditional co-pilot bench to integrate into the interior dining area. You have sofa benches that convert into berths, if needed, for extra lounging or sleeping space on longer trips. 

This latest version of the 440 is being unveiled at the boat show in Boot Düsseldorf in 2025!

Coming in January of 2025

Sandy Hook Yachts will be receiving a Marex 310 Sun Cruiser, 330 Scandinavia and a 360 Cabriolet Cruiser. To kick off the launch of Marex’s presence in the United States, we are gearing up for the grand unveiling at the Palm Beach International Boat Show in March!
